My name is Greg Bauchat and owner of SoCal Garage Works LLC. I am a car builder and supplier of Carbon Fiber parts to the KDM community for the past 4 years. I have helped debut cars in Hyundai and Ford’s booth at SEMA the last 3 years. My passion is to bring parts to the community other companies dare not to make.
Why did you choose this car?
I chose this car because it was different and unique. I found that the Veloster being a three door car helped bring some challenges to the market. Especially with customization and I wanted to show the world that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.I find the Veloster to be a fun and exciting car to build and a unique character all in itself.
What makes your build unique?
My build is unique because I have taken my car to a level most owners of the Veloster would not. We have a half cage installed and deleted the entire back seat. The car has been prepped to be fully track ready but at the same time show ready on any day of the week. We have designed specific parts for this car that no other manufacture makes like our triple vented front fenders. We have designed a grill that is unlike the OEM grill that fits like OEM without any modifications.
How did you get started in the car scene?
I have been in the car scene since I was a child. My father was a huge fan of racing and cars. So since I can remember I have always loved to build cars. Every car I have ever owned has been modified.
