Max Effort Rules
- The Max Effort challenge combines autocross and drag racing
- All Max Effort competitors may also compete in any Shootout drag racing class in addition to Max Effort.
- All Max Effort vehicles must be Shootout Class Legal
- The owner of vehicle must be the driver, no driver changes permitted
- All vehicles must run a DOT RADIAL tire. The same tires must be run for both the autocross and dragstrip portions of the event. Tire must have a distinct full tread pattern. Tires with only longitudinal grooves will not be permitted (an example of the tread design that is not permitted is the Hoosier Drag Radial).
- Any 1st, 2nd, 3rd place Max Effort finish will earn double payout if done on any Toyo Tire meeting the rule requirements.
- All DSMs or other Mitsubishi powered shootout legal vehicles will compete in DSM(MxD). This includes Starion, Conquest, 3000GT, Colt, etc.
- EVOs/Ralliarts will compete in EVO(MxE).
- GTRs will compete in GTR(MxG)
- Depending on the number of entries, each Max Effort competitor will get 4-6 runs (possibly more if time permits) for the autocross portion of the competition.
- SCORING: The quickest autocross lap time will be added to the quickest quarter-mile time to get your Max Effort time. Quickest Max Effort time will take 1st place in the class. For 2020, there is likely to be a factor in place (based on data acquired from the 2019 Max Effort competition) that will give some additional weight to the ¼-mile performance. This will not be in effect for 2019.
