About The Shootout

World’s Largest Mitsubishi / EVO Event

For the past 30 years, The Shootout has been the premiere mid-west racing event and the annual pilgrimage for the top DSMs, EVOs and GTRs from around the world. Last year, The Shootout was expanded to facilitate other platforms in a Mitsubishi vs. the World format. This year, The Shootout will celebrate its 30th Annual event making it the longest continuously produced import drag racing event in the world. This historic event will take place at the premiere motorsports facility in the United States, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH (1 hour from Cleveland). Timing is set for September 6^th through the 8^th to take advantage of the horsepower-friendly conditions. In addition to new offerings and features for our DSM and EVO communities, ECOBOOST, A90 Supra, Z-car and other classes will host the World competition for the Mitsubishi camp. We are making final arrangements to bring in a special feature class for DCT vehicles this year to add some exotic spice as well. IDRC Membership packages will also be available through theFOAT.com. All pre-registered entries will be eligible for special promotion prize drawings.
